This is the 3rd generation of mobile standards which represents the International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT--2000). 3G provides wireless connectivity to laptops and mobiles over a wide area at great speeds.

3GP

This is a mobile phone video format that is based on a simplified MPEG-4 Part 14 (MP4) encoding format. The encoding is devised to decrease storage and bandwidth requirements for mobile phones whilist providing a degree of video quality.

4G

This is a another wireless cellular communication standard (IMT-Advanced) that is the successor to 3G and 2G technology. 4G technology sets the standard in developing secure all IP solutions where internet telephony, broadband, steaming services and gaming can be provided to its users.

802.11

This term encompassess a set of standards recognized by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). 802.11 is the standard for all wireless communication.

This is a form of navigation that requires a mobile phone to connect to a assistance server to speed up the start time of its GPS positioning software. This happens in situations of low signals or when the GPS has trouble getting a lock with the GPS satellite.

Most mobile phones have this and it functions in the same way to most alarms, the alarm clock systems may vary in functionality some may allow you to schedule different alarms for different dates or use the alarm when the device is turned off.

This is a mobile input format that allows both number and text input, the numbers are divided over a number of keys and users can type texts by repeatedly pressinga certain number to select a letter. This can also be used with the T9 dictionary to give predictive text funtions to the phone.

This is the acronym for Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode, this is a display system for mobile phones that provides both quality and battery life as this display system has been designed for mobile devices that need exceptional battery performance.
